Our Client, a multi-site refining and distribution company, has an immediate opening for a Technical Services Manager at one of its refineries. This senior level position is part of the Site Leadership Team and reports to the VP and GM of the refinery.
The Technical Services Manager
Directs the activities of department employees and provides guidance and training.
Develops and prepares Engineers for future roles.
Evaluates the performance of department employees and corrects performance deficiencies.
Provides technical assistance to refinery and corporate departments.
The Laboratory may report to this position. Responsible for managing the processes and ensure quality control of products.
Assists in preparing the capital budget development with the Project and Process Engineer groups.
Prepares the expense budget for the Process Engineering Department.
Shares technical solutions to problems with refinery departments.
Approves invoices, expense reports, etc.
Assists the Health, Safety and Environmental Department in permit applications, upset reporting, NESHAPs, etc.
Attends morning operations meetings and planning meetings
B.S. in Chemical Engineering or other Engineering degree required. Preference is Chemical Engineer.
Minimum eight years directly related experience in the petroleum industry required.
